Winter is upon us, and with it comes hazardous roads. To avoid danger while driving your Dodge or Ram Truck in the winter weather, it's important to follow the below tips:

1. SLOW DOWN

It doesn't matter how late you are to that holiday party, if the roads are slick you need to slow down in your Dodge or Ram Truck. When the roads are wet your chances of sliding increase. Even if you don't see ice ahead there may still be danger.

2. Have an emergency kit

Keep an emergency kit in the trunk of your Dodge or Ram Truck. This goes beyond a first aid kit. You'll also want to include water, snack such as protein bars, blankets and warm clothing.

3. Don't slam on your brakes

The worst thing you can do when you're sliding is to slam on your breaks. In fact, this will actually cause you to spin out more. The best method is to lightly tap on the brakes of your Dodge or Ram Truck and slowly steer your car out of danger.
