Of all the parts that live under the hood of your truck, the battery is probably the one thing that we take for granted the most. Depending on the model and with proper care, a battery should last at least five years. However, things happen, making it important to know some of the most common signs that indicate your truck's battery is in distress.
Dim Lights or Slow Start - If the dashboard lights are flickering, dim, or the truck is slow to start, the first thing to check is if your battery has enough charge.
Need for Frequent Jump - You shouldn't need to have your car's battery jumped but if you do, or it happens more than a few times, the battery's charge could be depleted.
Visible Corrosion - Corrosion on the surface of the battery or around the connection points is a sign you need to have it inspected, cleaned, or replaced soon.
